Meet The Ringmaster

Hi! I’m Bailey Bjorn, the creator of Circus 76.

How does one come to be the ringmaster of a circus? Well, I grew up doing gymnastics, then a bit of cheerleading in high school. Upon graduating, it seemed a shame to let all those tricks fade away. The scorpions, the splits, the backflips. And so it began!

I bought my first set of aerial silks somewhere around 2020 and hung them up in my dad’s mechanic shop. The shop wasn’t heated, but that didn’t stop me. I practiced year round, often alone in extreme heat or cold. I got pretty tangled up a few times, but luckily I never fell or got hurt! (Disclaimer: I do not recommend starting your circus career this way. Not smart. Get a coach haha)

Soon after, I graduated high school and moved to Logan UT. There were no aerial gyms in the valley, so I emailed every gymnastics gym I could find, offering to pay rent to hang up my silks. Finally, the universe set me up with Sports Academy. The agreement was that if I coached tumbling, I could use the space for silks.

Well, I quickly discovered my love of coaching and started the silks program there. The rest is history, and now we’re an official circus!
